Christmas Mantel 2012

I finally started decorating for Christmas! Yes, I'm a little behind.  I always drag my feet but then everything looks so pretty! My mantel is very, very simple, but I like it. Last month I gave a sneak peek of some window frames I repainted but haven't yet put in their new place. I decided to use one on the mantel.  Then I hung a wooden flower wreath I scored last year on clearance from Target, hung a cedar garland, and filled glass vases with red balls. I also wrapped my candles again like I did at Thanksgiving.  Done!

 

Like I said, super simple.  My favorite part is the bright red wreath over the white window frame. 

My mantel has always had lots of different colors, but since I've been thinking I'd like just red and white on a tree someday, I went with that color scheme here.

 I had small styrofoam balls so I glittered them to fill in the gaps in the vase. 

When I come into the room, it's simple, elegant, and pretty.  It makes me happy!  I hope your Christmas decor makes you smile too.  Thanks for stopping by!
