Monday Musings, especially about the dog

Happy Monday!

Holidays:  Are you enjoying the season?  Yesterday we enjoyed the snow and listened to Christmas music and ate Christmas cookies and fudge.  I tell you what, those things really help to get you into a Christmasy mood.

The Blog:  I keep thinking about how much I admire so many of the bloggers I've met since I started.  Such talent! It's hard to understand how they do what they do on a daily basis--very, very impressive!

I am pretty far behind with my blogging. I had a major surgery almost three weeks ago that I'm still recovering from. Sleep is my friend.  Leif had Lasik surgery last week, and today the little Scotch dog goes in for . . . that surgery. Whew! Needless to say, I haven't even managed to comment on the last two link parties I linked up to, which is, quite frankly, really bad form.

The Dog:  Speaking of Scotch . . . Scotch filled a bit of a hole in our lives when we brought him home in April. He got under our skin pretty quickly.
Now he's pretty much just crazy smart and lots of fun.  He's also the king of his castle, as you can see.
When I was a kid I always heard, "Women ruin dogs."  What?!  I knew what they meant--that women would spoil and pamper a dog.  Whatev.  When I decided to get Scotch Leif said, "That is such a girly dog!" What?!  I knew what he meant--that this was not a BIG dog and he and this dog would not work.

Women ruin dogs?  Girly dog?  Guess who is totally head over heels for the Scotch dog and probably ruining him with all the spoiling?  You guessed it.
Ah, that's good stuff.  Happy Monday--I hope you have a terrific week!

  2. I hope you are healing well after your surgery and getting lots of rest and help!! We snacked lots last night. The electricity went out so we gathered around a candle filled table and nibbled and played cards. It was lots of fun actually :) Men are so silly.. they are often the biggest softies. My BIL is 6'4" and he is in love with their little, fluffy, white Papillion. hehe

  4. Hi Shannon! Wow, lots been going on with you! Me too. We are literally in the midst of moving, and we're knee deep in boxes. Today is the last day I will have my computer connected before we settle in. I can't say I'm enjoying the season, to say the least. Every muscle in my body hurts. Thanks for stopping by the other day. I so appreciate it.

P.S. Your pooch is sooooo cute, and I'm not at all surprised hubby loves him. Happens ALL THE TIME! Dogs have a way of setting up housekeeping in our hearts. :)
