Essentially, the Truth Card Exchange lets us create truth cards for women who have been rescued from human trafficking, to help them heal their souls and rebuild their lives. How would a truth card help do that? It's really such a simple thing. Truth cards are little reminders these women can pull out of a pocket to look at and read and re-read until they believe the words and internalize them. They're a special message and reminder that they are worthwhile.
If you're at all curious about this project, then please take about four minutes to watch the video here at this link and then join in. If you can't do it this time (because it came up very quickly), then you will be able to do it the next time around!
B and I had just made some cards for her over the weekend so I was already in the 'truth card zone', so to speak. Here are some pictures of some that B made for herself to take back to school.
They're fun to make. You cut the cards the size you want (or, in this case, the size Melody needed), and get to work decorating them any way you like. She made it really easy by providing her own artwork for everyone to use. I loved that! I added brads and sparkles and flowers to some of them.
They're pretty and have such strong messages. Really, they can be so powerful. Do you remember when you were young and you thought you could conquer the world? Sometimes those feelings go away and I guarantee that putting positive thoughts into your mind on a consistent basis can help get that feeling back. Truth cards are just one vehicle for that and I am super excited to be sharing truth cards with women who can really use them!
Think about joining in. It's a great cause!

Your cards are beautiful and what a wonderful thing you are doing.
