I enjoyed--really enjoyed a three-day weekend. I mean, on Monday I responded to three emails, edited a document, and took one phone call, but for the most part, I took a three-day weekend--something I haven't done in a while, so yay!
I promise I will get back to some crafty projects soon, but this was a much needed break. I took plenty of deep breaths and disconnected.
My main squeeze was scheduled to be in Canada over the weekend so I thought I'd go see B at school. I asked Z if he wouldn't mind coming over to take care of the dog and he said, "Why don't I get somebody to cover for me on Sunday and I'll come with you?" Sure! After work on Friday we hit the road and drove the long way since it's the smarter way in the winter. B took the train and met us in Portland that night. Lo and behold, my traveling husband showed up the next morning! B was excited to see her brother and her dad--surprise! We spent one day in Portland, the next day at the coast, (I swear, plants grow on top of plants on top of plants over there.) and then we took B back to school before heading home.
We hung out, enjoyed the beautiful scenery and weather, ate good food and talked, irked each other a little bit, and laughed plenty.
Whether you had a two-day or a three-day weekend, I hope it was a good one!

GREAT photos! You need to make those into a mini book!
