Lamp Shade with Vintage Paper Flowers

Hello!

I said I would show you what I did with my vintage paper flowers so thanks tons if you came back to find out.  In the last couple of months I've seen a lot of decorated lamp shades.  What!??  I'd never in my life gussied up a lamp shade so I figured now was as good a time as any!

I took my vintage paper flowers and glued them onto a lamp shade to use in my guest bedroom with the vintage paper wall.

Now I can say I've gussied up a lamp shade.  Here it is against the teal wall.

It's kind of funny but kind of cute at the same time.  I hope whoever stays in the guest room gets a kick out of it.

I like the light coming through the paper.

Does it remind anybody else of an old fashioned swim cap?

Linking up to Frugal Friday at The Shabby Nest.

  1. Ha, it does look like a swimming cap, but it's still pretty cute all lit up!

  3. Well, it didn't until you said it...I hated those swimcaps - always pulled my hair! Love the shade, though - especially with the light through it...yeah, it ROCKS! Happy Wednesday - Tanya
